RITHA Publishing – Public Statement of Commitment to DORA

At RITHA Publishing, we are fully committed to the principles outlined in the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and actively support responsible research assessment practices across all journals and academic initiatives we manage.

We recognise that the quality and impact of research should not be measured by journal-based metrics alone, such as the Journal Impact Factor (JIF), but through a comprehensive evaluation of the research content itself, including its methodological rigour, relevance, transparency, and societal value.

As part of our institutional commitment to DORA, RITHA Publishing undertakes the following actions:

✔ We do not promote journal impact factors as a surrogate measure of quality for the articles we publish.

✔ We encourage evaluators, funding bodies, and academic institutions to assess research based on its own merit and not the reputation or impact factor of the journal in which it appears.

✔ We support authors in presenting a broad range of research outputs, including data sets, software, and methodological contributions, as part of a holistic view of scientific achievement.

✔ We provide open access to all published content, ensuring visibility, transparency, and equal opportunity for all scholars.

✔ We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in peer review, editorial board membership, and authorship.

This statement reflects our ongoing mission to foster high-quality, ethical, and responsible scholarly communication and to align our practices with global efforts to reform research assessment.
