This module facilitates a double-blind review system, assigning manuscripts to qualified reviewers based on their expertise. Reviewers can access, evaluate, and provide feedback on submissions through an intuitive interface, while editors monitor the progress and manage communications seamlessly. Automated notifications keep all parties informed of important milestones, such as submission receipt, review completion, and editorial decisions, enhancing the overall efficiency and transparency of the review process.

The system ensures the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer reports throughout the peer review process.

§ Detailed Tracking and Notifications
Authors, reviewers, and editors receive real-time updates on the status of manuscripts. The system automatically sends notifications for key milestones, as follows: 1. Authors receive immediate confirmation that their manuscript has been successfully submitted; 2. Potential reviewers are promptly notified when they are invited to review a manuscript, ensuring a swift initiation of the review process; 3. Once a reviewer accepts the invitation to review, both the author and editor are informed, indicating that the manuscript is under active review; 4. Reviewers are reminded of deadlines and notified upon completion of their reviews, and authors are informed that the review process is moving forward; 5. Editor in Chief receives notifications once reviews are completed, allowing them to make informed decisions. Subsequently, authors are notified of the editorial decision, whether it be acceptance, revision, or rejection; 6. If revisions are required, authors are immediately informed of the needed changes and the timeline for resubmission; 7. Upon the final decision, all parties are notified, concluding the submission process.

§ Template and Guideline Integration
The system includes integrated templates and guidelines for authors, ensuring consistency in manuscript preparation. These resources are easily accessible, promoting adherence to the books & journal’s standards.

§ Advanced Data Management
The platform supports secure storage and management of all submitted data, including manuscripts, review comments, and editorial notes. It ensures data integrity and confidentiality, complying with relevant data protection regulations.

§ Publication Workflow Automation
Post-acceptance, the system automates the production workflow, including copyediting, formatting, and typesetting. This reduces the time to publication and maintains high-quality output.

§ Editorial Integrity and Compliance

The in-house editorial and publishing system is designed to support the integrity and independence of the editorial process. It enables the identification of potential overlaps between authors, reviewers, and editorial board members, and provides internal alerts in cases of repeated authorship, institutional affiliations, or potential conflicts of interest.

These functionalities assist the editorial team in limiting endogeny, ensuring the independence of peer review, and maintaining compliance with international publishing standards.

§ Analytics and Reporting
Editors have access to comprehensive analytics and reporting tools, providing insights into submission trends, review efficiency, and publication metrics. These tools track the review process, including the time taken for reviewers to accept invitations, complete reviews, and the overall time from submission to decision. Identifying bottlenecks, editors can implement measures to enhance the speed and quality of the review process. Additionally, editors can analyze acceptance rates over time, by topic, or by author demographics, offering insights into the journal's selectivity and the quality of submissions. This helps in maintaining the journal’s standards and reputation.
Reporting tools also provide information on the geographical distribution, institutional affiliations, and academic backgrounds of submitting authors, supporting the journal’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

In addition, the system contributes to editorial integrity by enabling the monitoring of patterns in authorship and reviewer assignments, supporting the editorial team in maintaining a balanced, independent, and transparent peer review process.

All automated functionalities are subject to editorial oversight, and all decisions are made by the editorial team.
